[sdiy] Spartan 3 Eval Board up and Running....Sort of

I got my Memec Spartan 3 eval board (it has an XC3S400 on it....400,000 
gates), but it was anything but smooth sailing.  The kit came with the 
Memec JTAG cable (rather than a Xilinx one).  If anybody else has a similar 
settup, I would be interested in hearing how you might have solved problems 
you might have had with the JTAG interface.

I had nothing but problems all day with it.  Out of 100 attempts, I only 
successfully programmed the chip only four times.  I finally tracked the 
problem down to either the flying leads or the little J4 to J3 converter 
board.  If I wiggled that combo, I could turn it from success to 
failure.  I finally made my own adaptors, and now it seems to be 100% 
reliable...I hope.  Gonna let it warm up a bit and try again later.
