Hi Karl,
Alot of op-amps don't like to drive capacitive loads directly without some minimum resistance decoupling the cap from the output.
The cap may be causing the op-amp to oscillate at a high frequency which looks like a little bit of DC across the cap.
HTH,
Oren

Subject: [sdiy] Barry Klein AD
Hello everonye, i'm currently playing around with the
Barry Klein envelope and of course, there's a problem.
If i have zero resistance on the attack pot - to get a
immediate response - nothing happends. On my scope it
looks like the main cap is charging a *little* bit,
and then goes to zero. This can of course be
eliminated by adding a resistor inbetween the cap and
the attack/decay pot, but then i don't have an
immediate attack and that's what i want. Why this
behaviour?
thanks
Karl
