Yes, perfect and "imperfect" waves would have their own character. More
perfect shapes would be desirable for their more balanced harmonics (Fox
Oscillators: Fair and Balanced Harmonics?). This perfection could sound more
sterile, however. I guess this is what you mean by lab quality. More pure =
less organic?
