you can start by washing your filthy ****ing mouth
out with soap...   :^P

I'd suggest a kit for your first experience... maybe
a PAiA Fatman or some other small kit.

It will have documentation that leads you through the
process step by step... and will work 'ok' when
complete.

There are more advanced kits/manufacturers... but they
are usually a little more pricey.

I'd also check out Ken Stone's CGS_Synth site to see
some of his boards.  He does not sell the parts so you
would have to buy those separately... but his board
layouts are very good (and I don't just say that about
everyone).  

1st choice would be Fatman because you get a complete
working synth for the money.  My first synth was a
PAiA
2720 (in 1974)
