It might be useful to see how the Kawai K5m was put together before you
design your own. It is one of few commercial additive synths ever made. I
had one for awhile and I thought that it sounded pretty good. I believe that
the partials were phase locked but partials could be grouped with separate
amplitude control.
Another approach would be to derive sine paritals from a Walsh generator. It
would take a single oscillator, dividers, exclusive ors, opamps, and a bag
full of precision resistors.
