I had one or two ICs in foam that was so corrosive that the IC pins thinned and
broke off at the edge of the package. I live very near the coast so I suspect
that high salt humidity doesn't help.

BTW my UAF42s are here - looks like it would be a drop in circuit for a resonant
filter module I built. I have to print out my schematic and see how much
adapting I need to do.
