[sdiy] oscilloscope single/dual ?

I think Magnus is referring to the Dual Beam Scopes that Tektronix used to 
make.  I used one about 20 some years ago....

The difference is that the scope tube has two electron guns, and two sets 
of deflection plates, at least for the vertical.  I think it only had one 
set of horizontal deflection plates, but I could be wrong.

A dual trace (dual channel?) scope will multiplex the two channels on the 
screen....
