Did you know that the very standard single
transistors 2n3904 and 2n2907 are available
as four in a soic16!! And that there also
are a 2npn by 2 pnp in a soic 16

MMPQ2907 4x pnp
MMPQ3904 4x npn
MMPQ6700 2x npn (2n3904) and 2x pnp (2n3906) 

There are several manufacturers for these
e.g Central Semiconductor, Fairchild, etc.
