Hello All Again,
I should have been more specific with my last email.
I have tested the VCA via another source (voltage diver and then LFO),
so I am sure that is not the problem.
Also, when I said trigger before, I meant gate, sorry about that.
Right now I'm measureing the voltages from the EG. With the LED in
place and the gate closed, the voltage on the output is 2.64 V. Without
the LED, the voltage is 11.57 V. Finally, with the gate open, the
voltage is -0.18 V. Why would it be negative?
The problem is, when hooked up to the VCA, the attack and release
times vanish and I just have the basic gate shaped envelope.
Finally, when I talked about adding a buffer in the previous email, I
thought I would add it at the output. Then I read the replies and many
suggested I add it to the input. What would advantages would each place
(input or output) have?
I'm very new to all this, but very excited that I am getting some
circuits working. I hope I can get this one working, too. Thanks for
your help.
