Okay, well, about this SN76477, I think it's a neat chip, and I have a
couple to turn into something.

It's funny that some people malign this chip. It's not supposed to be a
great VCO. Next!

It's a source of modulation CVs. An SOU, if I may use that term. You've got
shift register noise, an LFO and a VCO, integrated with control logic and
such. Thomas Henry's Super Controller adds a sample & hold and more; I'll be
making one of those, for sure (I've got the old Polyphony mags!).

It's a bunch of fun in a single chip, especially to fans of digital noise on
analog synths.
