[sdiy] Hello, everyone! (and some filter mumblings)

Hay guys,

first off, I'm a newbie to electronics more advanced than capacitors/resistors in combinations.
Sure, I could assemble anything given a circuit schematic, but synth diy isn't about that, now
is it? :)

Anyhow: I want to start my synth adventure making an analog filter for my synth, a Yamaha DX11
(great synth!). I was thinking of the Juno 60 or Korg Polysix sound - I can't find any
schematics to rip off ( ;> ) from, though. I did find a full schematic of a Juno 60, but
deciphering all that would take me ages :D so I guess that's not a great way to start off.
Sure, I can find a lot of schematics for the Moog filter, but that's not exactly what I'm
looking for... basing on my experiences with Moog synths. I'm looking for something warm, neat,
even if over-used by generations (hey, I don't care about others' music, I care about my own!).

On another note:
where should I start off learning electronics? Any websites you'd suggest, or maybe
(prefferably!) any number of topics I should cover before I can even hope to understand all the
nice schematics I can find on the net? [and modify them - that'd be wow]

Thanks for having this list, everyone.
