[sdiy] SN76477 pin ball machines!

An all-in-one synth on a chip like this is very compelling to beginners and
people who don't want to build something more complicated, people who just want
a fast and convenient sound-generation solution. It's too bad that the sn76477
isn't a better implementation, or it really could be a dream chip. Of course
then they *would* be selling for hundreds or thousands of $$ and be even more
scarce.
Maybe the people who are manufacturing classic BBD chips again would consider
doing something similar with an *improved* sn76477? How about a minimoog on a
chip?? There is obviously some significant demand for this kind of thing, but
is it enough to make a very expensive chip like this worthwhile to make?
Ok, ok, I know, it won't happen in analogue, just let me dream for a while,
will ya! ;-)=
Take care,
Doug
