Dear list,
This are the questions I selected from the ones you sent me.
Still not sure if I will record the interview myself because of
interference with other work, but they have the questions now.
The interview will finally take place on Friday or Saturday in
Barcelona.
Special thanks to Romeo, Barry, Steve and Tentochi (in fact, the only
people that sent me questions! =:)
I hope I will have access to the whole interview so we can post it
somewhere. I have no web space, so I will ask if someone is interested
in holding the data (mp3?) If I record the thing it will be done in MS
stereo with a pair of Schoeps microphones (CCM41 & CCM8), as the
ocassion deserves (well, any sound deserves a Schoeps)
Bye,
Fernando

Were you aware of the synthesizers that Don Buchla was
developing at the same time you was developing yours?
And, what you thought about them at the time.
Where do you think synth design should go from here?
If you were to start a new synth company in competition with your
current one,
what would his product be?
What is your most proud accomplishment?
Anything you would change over your career?
If you were a student in college now, what would you like to study?
What do you think needs more development effort today, the synthesis
methods or the interface to control the instrument?
Is there any interface or controller you would like or plan to
implement in your future systems?
How do you see the future of analog hardware, when analog parts will
shortly be more and more difficult to obtain?
Are you satisfied with the sound of current digital-core synthesizers?
Any idea, wish or plan about new synthesis engines? Physical modeling,
artificial inteligence, mechanical instruments...
Any plan to produce again an analog modular system?
What kind of music do you listen to at home?
