it was actually developed by someone, and then the design was sold to roland
[or at least that is what i heard]... if you search for dbeam on google
there should be a result somewhere for the new version the guy is releasing.
but theres a few other designs for a dbeam style controller too...

there are probably some schematics online for IR type theremins, and you
might be able to find one with CV out if thats what you want... i'm not sure
