[sdiy] Cutting rotary encoder shafts??

If the shaft is a solid metal or nylon shaft, like that of many
potentiometers, I don't see why not. I've sawed many pot shafts in the
past. Dremel tools are much quicker, but make me just a little bit nervous.
I'm always concerned that the abrasive disk will get caught in a bind, and
shatter into my eyes and face.  ;)
