Please don't think I'm one of those extreme audiophiles. I'm certainly not.
However, if you want an excellent example of something difficult to
measure, but still something which exists and is also important, just think
of the prospect of measuring your own life. I don't care if you're trying
to determine your personal life span, the *exact* state of your current
physical and mental health, the emotional/intellectual "quality" of your
life, or the exact value of your contributions to society. Whichever metric
you want to play with, it's still difficult to measure--but it still exists
and it's still important. ;)
