Hi!
I have finally got up to speed of actually building something. So, it's part
a Frankensteiner (i.e. reuse of old parts) and various newbuilds.
It started of with me having a pair of Oberheim SEMs without casing, then I
ended up with being given a Neural Agonizer reverb-tank kit along with a pair
of non-similar reverbtanks. Together with a pair of transformer output drivers
they started to look good. I needed a +/- 18.5 V supply for the SEMs, so I took
a half-complete Formant PSU and finished it and modified it.
As I brought this with me to my summerhouse, and today we had (finally)
splendid weather, I was able to set things up so I could drill the last bunch
of holes and then install all the jacks and pots.
Planning at the dining table you can see the 1:1 scale layout plan and then
also the just finished cabeling-plan for one SEM (the other will be equalent
but naturally to different jacks on the panel).

The drilled panel now with all the jacks and pots:

(Yeah, I know this isn't very straight lines in some places, some jacks and
pots is a little bit off the intended position, I learn as I do it, OK?)
The backside presents a minor eldorado for the love of soldering:

This is then to be put into the box, which is a Carpenters box:

To the right you see a modified Formant PSU, able to deliver the +/- 18.5V
the SEMs require. You also see the initial placement of the reverb-tanks,
the Neural Agonizer boards and the output transformer drivercards (Eela Audio).
You also see the 15x15 mm square tubes into which the panels are mounted. These
are screwed to the box with 4 M5 screws each.
So, as you see, even at hollidays in the summerhouse you can do DIY work on
synths.
With the wiring-plan starting to complete, it's time for soldering and
crimping time.
Cheers,
Magnus
