Once back in the old days i also had a DSS1. It sounded all right
but the keyboard was so kluncky it was almost imposible to play the
beast using headphones!!! It also had the wierdest OS i have come
across, exeptions made for the old Roland D110 wich was a pain in
the rear, and the gratest butt painer of them all the TX16W!!
I tought the DSS1 sounded nice, used as a
16osc synth in mono detune mode was bombastic!!
There was some roumurs once that the DSS1 was based on
the discreete wave oscillator Hal Chamberlin did for his
book!
