Yes, I do appreciate the irony of it all, but just to be clear, the kind of 
latency I complain about in soft synths has nothing to do with MIDI.  It has to 
do with processing latency, after the MIDI note is recieved.  MIDI's plenty 
fast for me, and I am a very demanding professional user.  Soft synths (even on 
fast computers) aren't fast enough for me, though.  They remind me of... pipe 
organs!  (except they don't sound as good)
