I don't have a schematic, but all you need to do is rectify the audio and
run that DC signal into a comparator. The other comparator input is your
threshold voltage, which you will want to be adjustable.

The comparator output is the gate signal.

(For Roy's sake, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong! ;-)
