It's more of a CMOS transistor array than anything.  It'll
do a lot of different stuff.  VCO, LFO, wave shape, ADSR, 
hi input impedance amplifier, logic, etc.  I think it's 
possible to build a synth entirely out of this IC, at least 
big pieces of it could be, a concept which I've seen 
discussed here with regard to the 4069UB.
