Hi John,
Sorry for my pre-occupied view of US citizens, but...
Maybe non-typical is just a metric tread? (= more typical than imperial
except for the US)
If so just measure the outside diameter of the tread in mm, it should read a
whole number
If you measure 12mm then you need a M12 nut, measure 10 then a M10 nut and
so on.
