[sdiy] Does Such A Socket Exist????

Hey Gang!
Here's the scenario:
Quite a few pro/consumer electronics companies, in attempt to save money,
merely use a coin-style batterie with built-in solder leads instead of a
socket/battery combination.
When these style of batteries die, most techies (myself included) will want to
replace the coin-style battery with a socket to make battery replacement in
the future a trivial task.
HOWEVER, all the coin-style battery sockets that I've run across don't have
the same lead spacing as the coin-style batteries with built-in leads.
In some cases (real estate permitting on the PCB) I've been able to kludge
together a small proto-board that contains a coin-style socket that is wired
to two long wire wrap pins (at the proper spacing). While this works, it
isn't the cleanest nor smallest solution.
Does anyone know if retro-fit coin-style sockets exist that have the same
lead spacing as the coin-style batteries with built-in leads????
Cheers,
Jeff
