I don't know really why all craze about this chip. It was largely 
ignored while it was still in production. Besides the increased price 
since it was discontinued, the big issue for makeing an oscillator bank 
would be that is only triangle and square per se. To get sawtooth and a 
pulse wave, you will have to add circuitry, so you're away from a single 
chip solution anyway.
