Well, I'm sure the taxes keep up the Canadian quality of life and standard
of living. Without taxes we would not have a government to look after us and
take care of us and those who can not or will not take care of themselves.
You are rich, You can afford to buy synthdiy stuff from other countries, why
shouldn't you be taxed to subsidize ones who can not or will not take care
of themselves and to pay for people who help them. And of course the people
who help them need to band together to keep from being exploited by the
system. Do we need to mention the impact your import will have on the
ecosystem ?
