Yes, this list is still active and you're welcome here.  All
questions about DIY synthesizer stuff are encouraged;
practical, theoretical, ideas, fixit, modifications, analog,
digital, etc.  Un-asked questions are the only dumb ones. 
Just don't mind Happy Harry when he goes into a BBD rant...
