[sdiy] Matrix 6R / 1000 question

Hello all

I need to know about voice assignment vs actual hardware voice.

In the Matrix 1000, if you use G1 (mono mode receiving on channels 1-6)
does MIDI channel 1 ALWAYS assign to voice 1 ???

In the Matrix 6R, is "reassign" mode available.  If so, does the first
note
ALWAYS assign to voice 1

I'm thinking of a guitar synth application for these synths... I can
force
the 6R to only receive the same six unique notes... but if it changes
which voice
it assigns I will be screwed.  Likewise if the Matrix 1000 does not
assign
Channel 1 to voice 1 consistantly... I will also be screwed.

Anybody have knowledge ???  TIA
