NOOOOOOOOO....

Platten is an english term for the big rubber roller inside type
writers/printers.
Platten clean (probably a brand name) is a cleaning agent that not only
cleans the surface of the rollers but also helps 're-juvinate' the rubber,
it removes the shine, but it also evaporates, removing the need for drying
(like water/soap).
Its a good soloution, but you have to buy it..
do NOT use alcohol on rubber (most vinyl cleaners have at least some) as it
will cause the rubber to perish..
