You are on Apollo 13 and there is no other way home. Your life depends on it.
They also threaten to unconditionally insert BBDs into ALL audio-curcuits
unless you solve it (those bastards!).

Point is, yes, for more than 8 bits or so I don't think it is possibly the
brightest idea I've heard of to roll your own DAC, but if we play with the
thought we might learn something. We might leave that laser-trimmer out of it,
assuming that we don't want to assume too good tools (let's say that we are not
allowed to fire it in the control-capsule due to lack of propper air-
conditioning so the post-resistor fumes is going straight into our lungs and
alot of sensitive gear - no window-to-window draft here).
