[sdiy] Irwin dual VCA--any interest?

I got my first 4 "dual linear VCA a la Michael Irwin/EDN magazine" PCB's
back from APCIRCUITS. I put a dual VCA together last night, fired it up,
tested it, and it worked great--no trace cutting or last second fixes
necessary--at least not that I have discovered yet--thank goodness!

The PCB is based on this article:

http://www.reed-electronics.com/ednmag/contents/images/72502di.pdf scroll
to the bottom of this PDF--that's the one I mean.

Mr. Irwin's design idea has a lot of things I like: it's simple, low parts
count (less to go wrong), sounds good (_truly_ linear, so it sounds smooth
and satisfying when responding to an AR or ADSR's attack and release), and
is flexilbe (I esp. like being able to "program" the reference control
voltage with a single DC voltage below ground....)

The PCB is going to form the basis of a lot more projects for me (VC
mixers, VC panners, dynamics processors, VC filters, I can think of
others), so I was going to have more PC boards made, and buy more
SSM2164's through distribution.

So that leads me to:

a) Does anyone else want some of these boards? It's small-about 2.5" x
3", so you can easily use it as a daughterboard. I would sell the PCB and
a single SSM2164, for about $15USD....it depends on how many I make, the
more I make, the cheaper each board gets.

Let me know if you are interested. (I'm not asking for any sort of
advance payment! There are no obligations! Don't send money yet!!!!!
just a show of hands, so I can get a rough sense of how many to make.)

b) Assuming there is interest in (a) do you think component side silk
screening is important. On a simple board like this, it doesn't matter to
me....I think this would add a bit to the cost of producing more PCB's and
I'm trying to keep costs to the absolute minimum.

c) Is anyone going to get pissed off by me doing this? It's my PCB
design, but not my schematic. I'm not planning on making money off this
directly, I figure this will be under any copyright radar or whatever, but
I never want to step on anyone's toes.

d) I will post the PCB layout and construction notes on my site soon.
I'm not going to order any more PCB's for about 3 weeks so you'll have
time to review the actual PCB for yourself, as always feedback is greatly
appreciated. True DIYers will be able to skip buying a premade PCB from
me and just use Press and Peel or whatever. But who wants to mess up
clothes etching PCB's? Not me, if I can help it, not after my latest "you
melted my toilet" debacle w/ my lovely wife.
