Oberheim, or at least the Matrix-12 and XPander, uses strictly 
sequential note allocation. Things get a bit murky when you release 
more than one note after all voices have been used up. Here the voice 
that is assigned first seems to be the last to be released, but then 
the allocation proceeds in strictly sequential fashion again. The 
release order is not taken into account at all when a spare voice was 
available.
