[sdiy] Audio (and synth) DIY printed magazine idea

We used to run an Electronic magazine in Australia. Advertising proved to be
more trouble than it was worth. 18 to 20 thousand mags were produced, and
about half of those came back as returns, and were sold as back-issues. Only
about 3 thousand or less were subscribers.

The bread and butter was that we advertised printed circuit boards and kits,
which we had produced, packaged etc ourselves, and sold to the magazine
buyers. It certainly was NOT a high income earner.
