It's hard for a print magazine to find enough subscribers and advertisers.
Perhaps you could get it sponsored by one of the parts companies, running
the DIY paper as an insert to their catalog mailing.
I'd like to see a mail order house selling parts kits for the circuits
published, which could be a "side effect" of such sponsorship. (Why are
there no parts kits -- or few and hard-to-find -- now? It's apparent that
the parts houses don't perceive a Synth DIY market. They could be wrong,
however. Paia seems to be getting by, for one.)
CD-ROM is just cumbersome -- fixed publishing cycles, can't be
updated/corrected, requires physical media, logistics, etc.
A website is better; articles can be published at will, and corrected
immediately. Full-text search is easy (and free from Google).
You'll be competing with the assorted websites that currently exist, no
matter which media you choose. Many of your potential authors already have
their own sites, as you know.
