According to what I've read, the Space LP was all done with an OB-8 and an
Akai S900.
Very nice album, but not exactly inventive synth work.
I have it on CD and vinyl :-)
While I'm on the subject, my personal recommendation for essential listening
would have to include the many and varied works of Pete Namlook.
The early stuff can be very expensive (see eBay), but he is now releasing
reasonably priced, high-quality MP3 CD-ROMs that include multiple releases,
such as the Jet Chamber, Psychonavigation and Silence collections. Any of
these would be worth a listen.
I have sixty plus Namlook CDs, so I suppose I'm a bit of a fan.
Personal favourite is probably 'Shades of Orion', with Tetsuo Inoue.
