Someone else mentioned this and I knew it sounded familiar,
but I had to go look it up... It started as a collaboration between
Jimi Cauty and Dr. Alex Paterson (The Orb).  They did some
tapes and released one of them as the first Orb single.  Then
Paterson left, and Cauty assembled what was left into this
album.  I've never heard it, but I've seen a review that says
that some of it is really sparse -- even more so than Aphex
Twin's SAW Vol. II.

Cauty, of course, went on to bigger and better (?) things...
