[sdiy] Schematic NETLIST (Slightly OT)

Hi All

I finished my PC board program so that it can now generate Gerber files.
Thanks to all of the list members that steered me in the right direction for
gerber format info. Now I am on another quest... "EDIF." I'm trying to find
a description of the file format somewhere and once again its like you
can't. Does anyone know of a good site where you can download the EDIF
Schematic Netlist spec or EDIF Schematic Netlist tutorials or lists. If EDIF
is not the  best netlist format, what does anyone recommend.

I am using my program solely to generate all of my SYNTH schematics and PCB
designs (there I got slightly on topic).

Any help appreciated.
