[sdiy] mildly OT: external usb case for pci card

good evening all,


i'm changing part of my audio to a laptop from a desktop pc. now for my
desktop, i have a very nice layla20 sound card, which is a pci card linked
to a 19" rack box.
on the laptop, there's obviously no room for the pci card and i'd need to
buy a usb audio card. now i was thinking it'd be great if i could somehow
still use the layla.
does anyone know if there are external boxes that take a pci card and have
an usb or firewire output? like you have for ide hard drives, ide cd
players, etc? if not, would this be very difficult to diy?
