Correct. Its fair to point out that mmF is archaic... from a time when mF was
usually
all that existed. They stretched the scale to include mmF (pF) as they became
aware
of such small units being useful.
Then those EUROPEANS (hiya Magnus) threw the wrench in the woiks... with the nF.
Hey... I'm OK with the concept, but I have to convert to uF or pF before I know
how 'big'
it is.
I remember the discussion (on daddy's knee) about capacitor size. I asked "Why
don't they
just measure capacitors directly in FARADS..." He replied "Kid... a one farad
capacitor would
be as big as this HOUSE !!!"
(that was probably in the early '60s... if only we knew :^)
