[sdiy] Roland VK1 organ FREE to a good home

I have an ancient combo organ, the roland VK1, which was
sort of their version of the legendary (and much better sounding)
Korg Organ (CX1? Something like that--it's from that era).

Last time I fired it up which was awhile ago, it worked, although one
register was shot, but for the most part it was all good to go.

It has a usable keyboard, drawbars, and a lot of other goodies that can
probably be salvaged even if you don't use it for its original intended
purpose. It even sounds a bit like a B3 if you strain a bit.

It includes a homemade road case for hauling it to gigs etc. A roadie
with a heart of gold made this for me back in the day.....

Here's the rub: it's big and somewhat heavy. I don't want to pay anything
to ship it, and would rather not spend a lot of time getting rid of
it--eg, like boxing it up and driving it to the UPS depo or whatever.

If you live within drivable distance to the CA SF bay area (US) email me
privately and we can set up a time you can come by and get it.

Otherwise, I am taking it to guitar center and suffering the humiliation
of getting $10 for it (so I can trade it in for a set of strings or
something)...personally I'd much rather find a good home from someone who
will love it, or at least cannibilize it for parts. Please let me know if
you are interested.
