Ah, yes, that is a good idea.  Someone mentioned a 66MHz computer system
that they had lying about.  Any number of ways to accomplish this
including the drawn waveform as well as computed waveforms.  This is
something a system like this could easily do using the parallel port. 
Any old slow video card would be fine.  Mouse driver is already there
for DOS or whatever OS you use.  I have an old box like this too.
