For the ARP sliders I would recommend that you take them off the board,
pull them apart and clean the carbon track with IPA, clean the sliding
contact with DeOxit D5 and then wash with IPA, and then clean and
regrease the internal underside of the metal can to keep the slider
moving smoothly. Then put it back together maing sure you get it the
right way up. Works very well.

It won't help the really worn out sliders though.
