JRC is Japan Radio Corporation
RC was the prefix of Raytheon (now Fairchild, now largely extinct)
Which one 'sounds' better might go over well on Analogue Heaven list...
its a value judgement. I usually do not make those distinctions unless
a chip
is really drastically different internally. (some versions of 555 timer,
for instance
will NOT work, at all... in some circuits. Usually such a design is
considered
weak)
