Anyone familiar with the GR-300 guitar synthesizer ???
Question: They use a ramp to generate the T-V (time voltage)
conversion...
then use the peak of that ramp to set a comparator level in the V-T
(voltage
time) converter (aka VCO).
The master tune sets the charging current, but the overall frequency is
related to
the ramp peak voltage.
Looks to me like as you play higher notes on the guitar, the overall
level of the VCO
will be decreasing with frequency.... the octave will be 1/2 the
amplituce of the open
string.
Can anyone confirm or deny this ???
(I don't see any compensation for this amplitude loss in the schematic,
but I might be missing
something).
If it DOES have the variable amplitude with frequency... how noticible
is it when playing ????
thanks (tia)
