The final verdict:
not mixing your conductive paint properly results in non conductive paint.
Mixing well results in the desired conductive properties.
note to self. Follow instructions.

So all my switches will be fixed soon me thinks. This has been an arse of a
job with the cr8000 because of a metal brace holding the switches in place.
I am not going to replace the metal switch brace to aid further switch fixes
(hopefully not needed for a good while)
