We're light years off topic, now...

As far as money going for space instead of food, it's been shown (through
statistics, which never lie) that every dollar invested in the spae program
yields several dollars in economic benefits. Think of the advances which had
been achieved in part because of the space program.

Microchips and computers were part of these technological advances. Think
about it! If it weren't for the U.S. space program, we might all still be
using -- wait for it -- analog synthesizers. Imagine...
