Why not use the LM2937 ? Comes in 2.5 and 3.3 V versions, is available from
Reichelt, and does have the standard 78xx pinout, nothe the fucked up one
of the LT 1085/1086...
Cheaper also, and i use them in commercial projects all the time.,..
