[sdiy] Your thoughts about the LM358

Hi list. Strange things happend yesterday evening:

I found a tube with 50 LM358 in my junkbox, I can't remember that I've
bought them, or find a reason why I would ever need them.

It's a dual opamp for single supply. Output can go down to the negative
supply. And it consumes only some milliampere which is nice for battery
powered circuits.

Ok, that's what I understand from the datasheet.

But Is this OpAmp worth using nowadays, or is it in the same league as the
µA741?
