[sdiy] Effects IC HD62098

Hi all,

I'm sitting in front of the schematics of the Yamaha VL70-m. I'd like 
to add an analog input to process external signals with the FX 
processor. It doesn't have to be mixed with the internal synth voice. 
The effects seem to be done with an IC called MEG (Multiple Effect 
Generator), HD62098. It seems the signal data are transferred to this 
IC via a serial connection, it is connected to the DSP via three lines. 
The pins of the FX IC are called CLKIN, SYWIN and IMEL0...IMEL3 (those 
are paralleled). Is this a standard protocol, can an ADC connected here?
