The Art of Electronics is the one to have, certainly.
The microprocessor bits are dated, but no matter.
One thing: the index (which incidentally is on the web)
isn't as complete as I would like, so if your memory is as bad as mine,
note down anything that you really like. In particular, some of the
best bits are the "recommended" and "not recommended" circuits
prionted on grey pages, but impossible to locate via the index.
Bob Pease "Analog Troubleshooting" is pretty good too, but if you
are strapped for cash, it is AoE that you have to get first.
