I second that - don't hesitate to buy a copy of Art of Electronics. It's
excellent - the only book I bought while doing my EE degree (wouldn't
necessarily recommend that, though it didn't do me any harm). Can't think of
any other textbooks then which:
- would still be useful 11 years on.
- can be dipped into for five minutes just for pleasure.
- manage to convey the thrill of doing something smart/efficient/crazy with
circuitry like A of E.
Go on - buy it. Blame us - we told you to do it ;-)
